A Throne for You
I've heard people talk about You, as if they were so sure.
They've devised point systems and boxes to check,
As if You were something to be contained.
But what about the mother basking her baby for the Nile,
Or the father You asked to sacrifice his son?
Would they believe it wise?
The more I live, I realize, the less I know.
Except with the Law of Love.
Where it is followed, You abound.
The loaves and the fishes multiply in desert places.
The most wretched send away their sin.
Each heart makes its throne for You.
Please make my heart a throne for You.
