It's been about three months since I last blogged! Much has happened since then. On Christmas Eve, my husband and I received the most wonderful Christmas present- the news that we are expecting our first child at the end of August!!! <3
We went to our first ultrasound at the end of February, all nerves, not really knowing what to expect, being this is our first. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've had so far in life. Up until that point, I had only had relentless nausea and exhaustion to remind me of our little peanut. But the moment the screen popped up with *OUR!!!* baby, it was stretching and yawning, and moving every which way and our hearts forever melted. We weren't expecting to find out the gender that day, but *HE* was ready to make his presence known.
We have decided to name our little man Judah Emerson. Judah means "to praise God" and Emerson is a family middle name that Ryan and his father and countless other men in his family carry.
I'll be 19 weeks this Tuesday (almost half way there!) and preparations are well under way. I'm having fun getting back into some creative work; making him his first quilt and designing the invites for the baby shower my wonderful momma bear is throwing me. I'll post more on these creative endeavors later. In the meantime, here is our baby journey so far, in pictures :)
